Why would she come back through the park
You thought that you saw her, but no you did not
It's not her coming across the sea to surprise you
Not her who would know where in London to find you
Sadness so real that it populates
The city and leaves you homeless again
Steam from a cup and snow on the path
The seasons have changed from the present to past
The past...
There's hope to have
In the past...
Why would she come back through the park
You thought that you saw she, but no you did not
Who can be sure of anything through
The distance that keeps you from knowing truth
Why would she think, that she could become
The girl who could make you sure she was the one
The one...
My one...
My one...

lighting my evening cigarettes with colored flames
The new guy at work
with the hard to remember name
borrowed my lighter
and forgot to give it back
after I told him
to remind me
to ask for it back at the end of the night.
So when I got home and realized
I looked in all the right places
but couldn't find another lighter
anywhere.
So I took advantage of
my first gas stove.
And lit the Papa John's coupons
I wish they didn't mail me
in the blue flame
and green flames
came out of his face.
And after I lit up outside the door
as not to violate my lease
I worried that about the chemicals I was inhaling
but soon realized how stupid this was.
